Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a glamorous date night in Montecito, California.

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, stepped out in style at Netflix’s Beef season 2 “Montecito” Tastemaker” event at a private residence on Friday, April 10. The Duke of Sussex looked dapper in a navy suit, while his wife opted for a sleeveless olive frock.

Harry and Meghan posed with Ted Sarandos, the CEO of Netflix, and diplomat Nicole Avant during the gathering.

Harry and Meghan stepped back from their duties as senior working royals in 2020, moving across the pond to Montecito where they are raising their two kids. Upon their relocation, the royal pair inked a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix to produce a string of shows. The streaming giant aired two seasons of Meghan’s With Love, Meghan lifestyle series, canceling the show last month.

“Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of [her] As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life,” a Netflix spokesperson told Us in a March statement. “As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.”

A rep for Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, also addressed With Love’s cancellation.

“As ever is grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year,” a statement shared with Us read. “We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own. We have an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to share more.”

Harry and Meghan are still expected to work with Netflix on upcoming projects.

“We still have a relationship with them,” chief content officer Bela Bajaria said during a Next on Netflix panel on March 18. “We have movies in development with them, we have an amazing doc with them, they have things in development on the TV and film side. Deals come and go all the time and … we don’t renew so many deals and those don’t get as much press for obvious reasons, I guess.”

According to Bajaria, “there’s no juicy story” why Harry and Meghan’s initial deal wasn’t renewed.

“Archewell has been a thoughtful and collaborative partner, and we’ve really enjoyed working with Harry and Meghan,” Bajaria further told Variety at the time. “They’re deeply engaged in the storytelling process and bring a unique, global perspective that aligns with the kinds of impactful projects our members respond to.”
